The Barbara Gittings Delaware Stonewall Democrats' mission is to secure for all lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people the equal human rights guaranteed to all citizens by the Constitution of the United States and the laws of the State of Delaware; to foster the ideals of the Democratic Party; and to contribute to the Party’s growth and influence.

DEGLC
The Delaware Gay and Lesbian Communicator will keep you informed of many of the happenings in Delaware's LGBT Community.  To subscribe send an email to deglc-subscribe@yahoogroups.com. Equality Delaware's mission is to ensure and promote dignity, safety and equality for all lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Delawareans. The group led the successful push for civil unions in 2011, marriage equality in 2013, and transgender hate crimes and nondiscrimination law, also in 2013.

Haven is the University of Delaware’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Registered Student Organization (RSO). It is a University-funded and student-run club. Haven’s meetings and events are geared towards members of the LGBT community and their allies, but anyone, including but not limited to students and faculty of the University of Delaware, is welcome to come.

Once known as Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays, PFLAG of Wilmington/Northern Delaware promotes the health and well-being of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and intersexual persons, their families and friends through support in coping with an adverse society. Educating, enlightening an ill-informed public, advocating, ending discrimination and securing civil rights, PFLAG also provides the opportunity for dialog about sexual orientation in confidential settings. Athlete Ally is a sports resource encouraging all involved in sports to respect every member of their communities, regardless of perceived or actual sexual orientation, or gender identity or expression, and to lead others in doing the same. It provides social advocacy campaigns, on-campus trainings, and practical tools, including resources to locate and learn about allied athletes, coaches, teams, athletic clubs and sports-based advocacy projects around the country.

The project examines questions such as, Is there a biological basis for sexual orientation and gender identity? What do the experts say about efforts to change one's sexual orientation? What are the ethical concerns surrounding this issue?

Their programs are held after school and recently at high school general assemblies in front of 200 or more students.
